Winter 2025 Registration Now Open
JETS’ Winter 2025 Junior registration is now open.
Registration for Junior (U8 – U20) players in Winter 2025 is now open and closes 9pm Monday 24th March, 2025.
Please see note below about the closure date.
The Winter season commences on the 3rd/4th of May 2025. Grand Finals will be held on 13th/14th September 2025. Boys’ game day is Saturday, and Girls’ game day is Sunday.
Winter 2025 Fees:
• $285 per child with a 5% discount for subsequent children.
• $32 BV Fee per child- every player will be required to pay an annual fee of $32 (17 and
under) or $46 (18 or over) directly to Basketball Victoria. This will be charged the first time
you register a player with any Club/League/Association in Victoria. The BV fee covers the
12 months commencing the season when your child starts to play. PlayHQ will
automatically determine when payment of the licence is due to be renewed.
• From 1st January, 2024 an Annual Basketball Australia Game Development Levy of $5.50
(+GST) per competition player will be introduced nationwide.
Player & Spectator Door Fee
$84 Association player & spectators door entry – this is the fixed door fee for each player
and spectators (MBA are only charging for one spectator) and is paid upon registration
directly to the MBA.

Your registration will not be accepted until online payment has been received (PlayHQ will
email you a paid invoice)
PLEASE NOTE – Our registrations CLOSE Monday, 24th March at 9 pm.
Coordinators will form teams based on registrations received at that time. Late registrations will only be accepted if there are spots available in teams. They will not be guaranteed a place in an existing team or with friends they nominate to play with.
Late registrations will also incur an additional $50 administrative fee.
Please give careful consideration to the questions during registration. The coordinators will use the information you provide to help put teams together. If there are a lot of new players and players wishing to play in higher grades, then the coordinator may choose to hold a grading session, but at this stage, there are none scheduled, due mainly to time and resource constraints.
Please be aware that the MBA has a points system for representative players, which limits the number of rep players that can be in one team. This will also need to be taken into account when coordinators are forming teams.
Winter 2025 Season birth year requirements:
U20 – 2006 / 2007 (boys-only comp. Sunday games)
U18 – 2008 / 2009
U16 – 2010 / 2011
U14 – 2012 / 2013
U12 – 2014 / 2015
U10 – 2016 / 2017
U08 – 2018 / 2019
There will be no U20 female competition in the Winter 2025 season, therefore, female players born in 2005, 2006 and 2007 will need to register in the OPEN WOMENS SENIOR competition.

Winter Season Dates:
– Regular games are to commence the 3rd and 4th of May 2025 and end the 30th and 31st of August 2025.
– Training will commence the week beginning Monday, 28th April 2024.
– Grand Final weekend is the 13th/14th of September 2025.
Games are not played during government school holidays or on public holiday weekends.
